Membership in the party is open to any Somali citizen or person of Somali origin who is at least 17 years old, residing in Somalia or abroad, who believes in the party’s principles, is willing to pay the annual membership fee of $5 USD, and is not a member of or supporter of any other political party in Somalia.

Becoming a member of the party.

Any applicant who meets the membership requirements can request a membership application form from the party’s headquarters in their district, the party’s branch in their community, or download it from the party’s website, www.ssup.se. They must submit two photos and a CV. Applications are sent to the district committee or the community branch committee for a decision, and there is no discrimination against any applicant. The party provides assistance to applicants with disabilities to facilitate the completion of the form.
